THE AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THIS NETWORK, FOUNDED IN AUTUMN 2002, ARE TO:

  • Facilitate networking amongst people who have spent the major part of their careers in market research or social research, by organising opportunities for social contact, for instance by holding lunches, parties and other events.
  • Keep Members informed of Network activities and events and provide a means of publication of articles by Members, by issuing a twice-yearly Newsletter and also by maintaining this website.
  • Ensure that the voice of senior researchers is heard wherever market or social research issues are discussed and, where appropriate, within the Market Research Society (MRS), although current or former membership of the MRS is not a condition of membership of the Research Network.
  • Offer mutual support utilising, where appropriate, the services offered by the Market Research Benevolent Association (MRBA). There is a link to the MRBA website on the LINKS page and the MRBA is a body with which we have been closely associated from the date of our foundation.

  • We have approximately 200 members. The Network is run by a Steering Group which is elected at an Annual General Meeting held in December of each year. Click the STEERING GROUP TAB ON THE LEFT TO SEE CURRENT MEMBERS.
