The Network Evening Drinks (NED Talks) are early evening Zoom meetings, lasting about an hour and a half, with a speaker talking about a topic of general interest for approx. 30 minutes, followed by discussion and a general chat.

The NED Talks are free to attend and non-members can join as your guests if Gill is notified in advance. More information on the content of the Talks will be provided in the invitations that will be sent out nearer the time.

NED Talk 17: Wednesday 14th February 2024 at 17.30pm. Speaker: Graham Woodham. '33 Years of a parallel French life'

Graham will tell us the story of his family's slow renovation of a farmhouse surrounded by vines, their warm welcome and long-term friendship with their wine and cognac making neighbours, including the many fun and quirky aspects of a rural lifestyle just north of Bordeaux.

NED Talk 18: Wednesday 20th March 2024 at 17:30pm Speaker: John Griffiths. 'How electronic music went into the box and is coming out of it'.

John cut his teeth on acoustic guitar, but in recent years he has been reinventing himself as an electronic musician – working with synths and samplers, much of it on the PC. His talk will be a romp through the evolution of electronic music to the present day with examples of how it is being made and shared.
