Sheila Byfield to lead Oral History programme

We are delighted to announce that Sheila Byfield will be joining the Steering Committee and taking responsibility for the management of the Oral History programme. This has been Frank Winter’s responsibility since its inception, but he decided late last year to step back from the role.

Frank has overseen the completion and publication of over 50 interviews with influential members of the Research and Insights community – a great achievement, and a contribution for which the Network is hugely grateful. He will remain on the Steering Committee, retaining responsibility for Privacy & Data Protection.

Many of you know Sheila. She has spent over 40 years working in media, advertising and brand research. Her final role before retirement was global director of insights for Mindshare, where she was responsible for both industry and proprietary research. Sheila has been a frequent speaker on industry platforms and is widely published. We are looking forward to her joining the team
